A humanoid you'd be happy to have at home.
We're building a useful, friendly bipedal robot. It starts by doing real work for businesses, and one day everyone will have one in their house.
The plan
- Step 1
Build an expensive humanoid that does real work
Form 1 starts on off-the-shelf bipedal hardware, with our own hands, safety system and AI on top. It's for businesses that need a small number of robots doing real jobs, supported closely.
- Step 2
Use that to build our own
Every robot at work teaches us something. We bring the critical parts in-house one at a time: the AI and hands, then the actuators, then the whole body. Each step makes the robot cheaper and more capable, so it can work in more places.
- Step 3
Use that to build one for your home
Volume production, a price a household can justify, and a robot that's safe and pleasant to live with.
- Step 4
Make every robot smarter along the way
One brain across every robot we make. What one learns, they can all learn, and each generation makes the next one better.
Not scary, by design
A robot you live with has to be one you're comfortable around. Every decision we make gets checked against these.
Friendly, not human
Rounded, soft-shelled, with a simple expressive face. No realistic skin, nothing uncanny.
Never imposing
Designed to be smaller and lighter than most adults, so it never looms over you.
Calm
Quiet and slow around people, with a status light that shows what it's about to do.
Safe by design
Padded surfaces and force limits at every joint, and a robot that stops when you tell it to.
Honest
It will say when a person is helping control it, and never pretend to be a person.
Form 1
Form 1 is our first robot, built for work. It's in development, so we're not sharing prices, dates or specifications yet. When we have something real to show, the waitlist hears first.
